Beech 1900d
Qantaslink came about acquiring the Impulse Airlines aircrafts, the B1900 and B717's when Impulse announced that it would withdraw from operating scheduled air services in Australia under its own "Impulse" brand but continue flying under a "wet lease' agreement with Qantas. Initially, Impulse and Qantas had announced that the two airlines had entered into a long term commercial relationship that involved:
This has all changed again when Qantas and Impulse exercising their options and bought out "Impulse" in its entirety in late November 2001. Impulse and its fleet of 8 717's and 13 B1900's will continue to operate under the Qantaslink brand name in conjunction with the other Qantas regional subsidiaries. At this point in time, the b1900's continue to fly with the Impulse livery
